About

The North Carolina School Counselor Association (NCSCA) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(6) professional organization based in Raleigh, NC. NCSCA promotes excellence in the profession of school counseling and the development of all students. Founded in 1960, NCSCA has representation in all eight regions of the state and a membership of more than 2,000 school counseling professionals.

NCSCA’s Core Beliefs

  • All school counselors deserve to benefit from membership with NCSCA through access to high quality professional development, legislative advocacy and services that promote best practices
  • All school counselors are leaders and advocates supporting the achievement of all students
  • All students deserve to benefit from comprehensive school counseling programs implemented by licensed school counselors
  • All students deserve to benefit from school counselors who are agents of social justice, interrupting bias when observed

NCSCA is a state division of the American School Counselor Association.

North Carolina School Counselor Association (NCSCA) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6314.
Programs that do not qualify for credit are clearly identified. NCSCA is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
