Are you tired of doing the same career interventions year after year? Mix it up! Learn about creative tech savvy ideas and resources that address the Career Guidance Essential Standards.  Make the career domain the STRENGTH of your comprehensive guidance program instead of an afterthought.  In this session, K-12 participants will learn about school-wide activities, classroom lesson ideas, and collaborative projects that will put college and careers in the spotlight at your school.


Presenter: Angela Poovey


Angela Poovey has been an elementary school counselor for nine years in Wake and Johnston counties.  She has an Advanced Degree in School Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She earned her National Board certification through the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards in 2009.  Angela is a former NCSCA Emerging Leader and is currently the editor for the NCSCA News Magazine.  She is also the author of the blog lifeontheflycounselor.blogspot.com.

There is a registration limit of 100 participants, and previous webinars have sold out.

Planning notes:

* You will be able to log in for the webinar by 3:30 PM. It is strongly suggested that you log in before 4 PM to make sure that your computer is connected.
* Please note that we will be unable to provide refunds due to technical difficulties on the day of the webinar.  Your confirmation email will include a link where you can test your computer’s connection to GoToWebinar in advance.
* In order to receive CEU credit, participants must attend the entire presentation and complete a brief evaluation.  1.0 clock hour towards a CEU will be awarded.


Refunds

Professional development event refunds must be requested in writing via email.

No refunds will be granted for cancellations less than 30 days prior to the event. 

In order for a refund request to be processed, the NCSCA Treasurer must receive the email refund request so that the time and date stamp clearly indicates the request was made within the mandatory timeframe.  Send all refund requests to treasurer@ncschoolcounselor.org
